New York, New York!

We headed out to New York the day after all the slow fell. Thanks to my big Brother Jason, my girls were being spoiled rotten. Jason and Jeanette were willing to watch the girls for this trip to New York. We didn't make it far before we got stuck. This is in the parking lot of my parents town house! We had to get out and start shoveling! It took at least 20 minutes and then my show off Brother in Law showed up to pull us out. He thinks he is an amazing driver in the snow. ( He isn't.)

The roads were pretty bad up until we crossed into Maryland. Then it was dry roads. We finally made it to New York! The city is so alive and colorful. I really love this place.

Look who I ran into!!

And ELMO!!! Claire was so excited to see these pictures. She was pretty amazed.

Me and my Dad had to get a picture next to a New York Giant. This picture was for Cory.

Then it was on to Broadway!! We got tickets to go to Wicked. Here we are outside the Theatre.

At the entrance... and I have to say, I agree!

We were 3 rows from the front! It was amazing to be so close. I loved being able to see the expressions on the performers faces. The show was amazing. Seriously one of the coolest things I have ever seen, next to that Yellowstone waterfall.....

Here we are with our Playbills.

I would highly recommend this show to anyone and everyone. It was so much fun. I even think Cory would love it... and he HATES theatre!.. or anything to do with the arts for that matter. I would have easily turned around and dropped over $100 to see it again, that same night... that's how good it was.

I am so grateful that my parents appreciate Theatre. They have gone to Broadway musicals since I can remember, and my family has performed in community plays as well. It really helped me gain a love for it, and as an adult I really enjoy it. I was so happy when my parents decided to take me to Wicked as a birthday present. We had so much fun and this one on one time with my parents, really made my trip. Thanks Mom & Dad!

So long New York.......I will miss you!

I agree, Wicked was amazing. Michael liked it too until two hours in it was intermission and he realized there was still another hour left. Oh well, nothing could poop on my party, I was in heaven at that show. :)
