Look what happened to Claire over the past week. Isn't she so cute without her front teeth?
She went from a mouth full of teeth, to a toothless smile. I love it when kids lose both front teeth at the same time. I think it is so cute. Cory disagrees... he thinks it's a little too hillbilly. Believe me, she is cute now, just wait till those big teeth come in. Genetics are not on her side, but we might as well embrace it.... so lets all say it together, "Bring on the awkward years!"
Some things to remember about her losing her front teeth: Mom ended up pulling both out. Even when they are hanging by a thread Dad still doesn't think they are ready to come out. :) Believe it or not, the tooth fairy didn't come the first night after her tooth came out. Claire realized that it was because she had her tooth on the white part of the sheet which made the tooth camouflaged. We also talked about how her room was messy and tooth fairies, or anyone really, wouldn't like to come into a room like that, so she made sure that her room was super clean the next night. The tooth fairy seemed to make it that night. The night before Valentines day, Claire lost her 2nd front tooth. The tooth fairy almost forgot again! She woke up at 5:45am with a dream about Claire's front tooth and flapped her fairy wings as fast as she could to pick up the tooth and leave behind a few coins. phew!
