We left at 7:45 am and It was chilly out. Claire was pretty excited to go, although she didn't quite understand where we were going. To her, restaurant means Mcdonalds so I think she was suprised when we showed up to a different place.
I pulled up and there was a line. For some reason I was real optimistic in thinking that we wouldnt have to wait outside.... I was wrong.
When I go places early in the morning, I am not thinking clearly. Claire and I didnt bring our coats...I know!! I am a terrible mom. She did like wearing my gloves though.
I was also quite embarrased when we were standing in line and I realized her shoes were on the wrong feet and she only had one sock on.
We waited outside for about 15 minutes.
Finally, we get inside, order our grand slam breakfast and dig in! Claire really enjoyed her big girl portions. Lauren was just happy chewing on her keys.
Taking two kids out all by yourself can be a real adventure but we sure did have fun. Claire even got a balloon! She was thrilled if you cant tell.
Needless to say, we were all tuckered out when we got home.

Awesome!! I went -- but it was like a rock concert in mine..people all close together..and I was like [no way]! So I asked for a raincheck and got 3 tickets to use tomorrow or something.. But good job braving the restaurant alone!! What a great mommy you are! That is so funny about clairs shoes.,LOL..

Great Job with your photos! It really shows the enjoyment! I know that feeling when your kids don't have matching socks on and shoes on the wrong feet! I'm glad Im not the only one. I love the picture of claire digging into her food! Its what we all are thinking of doing when we go to Dennys. Dad had to call me and rub it in that they got free food from Dennys too. And then through in that the weather was in the 80's...life just sucks here, we have neither sun or free food.
Michael and I went too with a friend and her baby. We waited about the same time as you. We waited at our table way too long for our waitress and our food. But the food was yummy and free!
Hey at least your not like the lady next to you outside. She has on a big coat and scarf while her kid only has on a windbreaker jacket. You braved it out together.

We are cracking up about the shoes/socks. Claire is adorable and you are so brave to go!
good for you for hittin up some free grub! The restaurants in PHX were so packed I guess there were hour long lines....yuck.
