Jordan's Visit

So... I convinced my mom to send my little brother Jordan to Boise before he left on his mission. Now a days, they dont let you go through the MTC with them, you have to drop them off at the curb. Instead of sending him straight to the MTC, I told my parents that if they sent him here, he could spend time with family and I could take him to the MTC so we can at least get some pictures of him going into the place and by the signs. Here are the pictures from week one. week two we were in Tri-cities Wa.

We did lots of things when Jordan was here. First day we went to this Settlers park, a really cool park that has water features you can run though and has an awesome playground and musical instraments. Next we floated the Boise River. We forgot to bring our paddles, but some nice people let us use theirs. Sorry no pictures.

Then one morning we got up at 5 am to do my cycle class. Jordan was a trooper and got me and my friend Nancy totally pumped for it. This is what he wore. Did you know I have a pretty cool brother? Some would argue based on these photos.

During the class, while Jordan is listening to his ipod, he turns to me and says, "HEY ASHLEIGH... SEXUAL HEALING!!! marvin gaye. " Everyone turned and looked at me, I hung my head in shame.

One day we went to a place down town called the clock tower pond. The water is so nice, its like the temperature of pool water. Jordan and Cory did back flips off the dock. It was pretty sick. Jordan wanted to wear my expensive goggles. So he SET them on his head but he was having a hard time actually getting them on. I was trying to get on the river rat ( our innertube) which cory and lauren were on. I made the whole thing tip. I fell off, cory and lauren fell off, Jordan said " Ash, your goggles fell off!" I was like, "I dont care, I just want to make sure Lauren is ok." Cory still had Lauren and all was good, but my goggles are at the bottom of the Clock tower pond.. And I want them back.. Dangit!

Then one day we went to this huge hill called simpolot hill. Its the perfect place to go ice blocking. We had lots of fun, but I couldnt get my camera on the right settings, and then it ran out of batteries. So these are the only pictures we could get.

On saturday morning we decided to go splunking(yes, thats right, I'm cool, I said splunking). The cave is called smiths crack. All I know is that there is a part of the cave called the "birthing canal" and some fat guy got stuck in it a couple years back and they had to crisco him all up to get him loose. If you know me at all, you would know that this made me want to go even more. Well, we never found the cave and what really sucked, is that right when we got back, about 4 hours later, cory pulled out his cell phone and typed in "smiths crack" on google maps and it came up. We were pretty annoyed that we didnt think of doing that earlier. Oh well. Here are some pictures of Cory and Jordan searching out in the middle of no where for a cave.

On Sunday night our good friends and neighbors, Burt and Nancy, invited us over for some cookies and to play some games. We played Apples to Apples and had a great time. Shhhh...dont tell anyone, but I think Jordan had a little crush on my friend Nancy. I think Nancy had a thing for him too! :) -Just kidding Nancy! ( No, really though.)

On monday, Tiffany and her family dropped in to say goodbye to Jordan. They were flying out later that night. They played one last game of ticket to ride, and then Tiffany decided she wanted to take Jordan out to eat. My family is big on mexican food and we loved this place called casa chapala. They closed there restuarants in washington and supposedly they opened one here in Boise. Well, I took them to this place called Chapala. The name was close enough. They were convinced after eating the enchiladas that this was the Casa Chapala. If it wasnt, who cares, my brother was so happy that he got to eat there and he said the cheese enchiladas were the best he ever had. Before Tiff left we had fun taking some pictures.

I look so different from them. Maybe I need to bleach my hair. Then I will look more like a Lloyd.

Kyle and Jordan

Uncle Jordan and Kaleigh.

The three guys. All we needed was Matt and Andy and this picture would have been perfect.

These two are so perfect for eachother. They are eachothers favorites, and although I tried to compete to be his fav, I lost after she took him to that mexican restaurant. Such a FETCHER!!!

He is gonna miss you guys!

Tiffany singing to Jordan and saying her final goodbyes.

I think all and all, Jordan had a good time. After the manns left, we got in the car and headed to washington. STay tuned.

By the way, both my girls loved Uncee Jordee.

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun while he was there. I can't believe little Jordan is big enough to go on a mission! I can't wipe the smile off my face from his stunt- you guys make me laugh. Miss you Ash! Wish we could have gotten together in WA. Hopefully we'll have another chance soon.

I just laughed the entire time reading this entry! I would have probably peed my pants with the whole "sexual healing". It's things like that that make having siblings so worth it! I love embarrassing my family!

You guys have seen a lot of family lately! Sounds like you're having tons of fun. My friend Megan would love the one picture--it's her dream to be a photobomber.
